HAVE FOUND BOOK ALL CLEEK, CLICK, GWIN, LIGHTNER, AND WARWICK
ATTENTION: ALL RESEARCHERS OF CLICK,CLEEK,GWIN,LIGHTNER, AND WARWICK, Plus RELATED FAMILIES OF: Bratten, Campbell, Carlile,Craig,Crawford,Dyer,Gay,Givens,Graham,Harper,Henderson,Hull,Keister,Lockridge,McFarland, andMoore.
I am posting this message for all of my CLICK/CLEEK fellow researchers of the above surnames.
I have found a book titled as follows: "Early Western Augusta Pioneers". Part One of the book is all Cleek from page 20 to page 94. The first paragraph of Part I, " Cleek Family" states "The Cleek family came from Germany to America in 1732. The name is found in records as: Glück,Glick,Cleak,Cleck,Click, Clerk, and Cleek. It then tells about Baltas Cleek, and his wife Catherine, and their four sons Michael,Mathias,Palser and Jacob sailing to the U.S. from Rotterdam on the ship "Mary". (I am descended from Baltas's son Mathias).
Then the Cleek Family tree is listed from 1699 to the 1950's ( or even later, depending on the direct line)including all four of the Cleek brothers, where they lived, who they married, names of their children, dates of birth, all of this and more. It is more than you would expect it to be.
I ordered my copy of the book about 3 days ago, and got it on my porch this morning by UPS.
I want all to know that I have no connection whatever to Barnes and Noble (from whom I ordered my book). It is the first book I have ever ordered ONLINE from anywhere, or anyone. or any person. I tried to buy my book from 2 different Barnes and Noble stores, but none had the book. At one of those stores, I learned that B&N Stores and B&N Online are two separate companies. That's when I got online to order it.
I would be willing to answer any queries as we all do here on Genforum. But I am a 72 y.o. retired U.S. Army Sergeant Major with a VA Disability, plus, I only type with two fingers. Also, I am researching a surname list of over 256 names. So I sure hope I don't get an unimaginable amount of queries, 'cause I won't be able to handle it.
Let me know if you want me to look up something in my book. I'll give it a try. I will look up names in the index of my book, then go to the page that gives the information for that person, and then post a message in reply to yours. If the index does not have the name that you are after, I will post a message on GenForum to that effect.
