I am not sure how Hillary Clinton is related to Zachary Cloutier. One thing that I do know is that with her maternal French connection, we are at least very distant cousins. One would have to know her entire lineage to know the connection. On the web I did find some information on her.If you search Google you may find the connection. Good luck, Janet
Hillary’s French Lineage The entry to Hillary’s intriguing French ancestry is by the 1841 marriage of Mary Anne Frances McDougall to Antoine Martin in Ontario. One would think this was a Scottish lass marrying a French Canadian with both English and French ancestry. Not so. Both of Antoine’s parents were born in France. His wife’s McDougall father and grandfather were both in the Northwest Territory. Her mother’s ancestry was pure French. To date, genealogists have been able to trace only Hillary’s French lineages back through the 1700s and 1600s to families living in France in the 1500s.
What do Hillary Clinton, Madonna, Angelina Jolie, Celine Dion and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, have in common? Answer: the same French ancestors. The common thread stretches over more than three centuries to ancestors in France, many of whom lived in the Perche region. Hillary Clinton’s French Ancestry Hillary Clinton’s maternal grandmother, Della Murray (1901-1960), was the daughter of Daniel and Delia (Martin) Murray. Della’s maternal grandfather, Antoine Martin, was born in France, but strangely it is his wife, Mary Anne Frances McDougall, who has French Canadian ancestry that links her to other famous women. Mary’s mother, Catherine Godet (1793-1855), descends from Percheron pioneer Nicolas Gode (sic), who came to Quebec from the Orne, France region. Her lineage also includes such Percheron emigrants as Jean Guyon, ancestor of Celine Dion, and Gaspard Boucher, common ancestor of Dion, Madonna and Camilla. James McDougall, Mary’s father, descends from Pierre Gagne, giving Hillary another ancestor in common with Celine, plus shared ancestry with Madonna. Hillary’s common ancestry with Angelina Jolie is from Jean Cusson, who came from near Rouen
Hillary Clinton descends from three of the King's Daughters, a group of 852 women sent to New France as wives for Quebec's earliest settlers.
