Hi Lynda, This could take me a minute to figure out....then, Your Great-grandfather was also "Henry" Clutterbuck born 1881, in Cheshire, and 1881 Henry's younger brother was Christopher Clutterbuck born 1886 in Winsford, Cheshire and Christopher was my great-grandfather. You probably know then that their father was also Henry C born 1855. And He is the tricky one to track referred to on this forum earlier. I have a copy of his marriage certificate to Margaret Evans which I'm happy to share. My next move is to track down his birth certificate. Although I've had trouble pin-pointing this in the index - wrong turns could be easy to make at this point. My mum grew up in Droylsden, I was born in 1963 in New Mills, Derbyshire but my parents emigrated to New Zealand when I was 3. My mum, Winifred Taylor b. 1936knew of Clutterbuck cousins around near where she grew up but she lost touch with them in the 1950's. My grand-mother, born Caroline Winifred Clutterbuck in 1913,at 4 Mast Street, Openshaw Sth, Manchester, England. Sadly, having all survived Manchester during the war she died in her mid-thirties (1949) of cancer (as did her sister!) leaving a young family behind, when my mum was only 13yrs - so we never really knew much about where she came from.
