I don't have any record of Augusta as belonging to James W. and Prudence.
They were married on Sep. 21, 1851 in Hempstead Co.Prudence died c1881 and James W. in 1900.
They had five children, all males:John, born c1862 who married Ella K. Provence in 1882, Hempstead Co.; James F., born 1863, married Annie Bell Thompson in 1886, also in Hempstead Co.; Clark Alexander, born 1866, married Opal Eliz. Rigdill in Hope in 1894; Robert V., born 1868, married Lilla Rigdill on 1897 in Hope; and Joseph, born c1874, died 1881.I have some descendants of all sons except for Joseph.
James was married twice more so perhaps Augusta came from a child by one of them. His second wife was Mary L. Moore who he married on Feb. 24, 1881 in Hempstead Co. when he was 53 and she was 49 yrs. old. She died in 1892 and he married M. D. Goble on Dec. 19, 1893 in Hempstead Co.
Both second and third wife were likely widows and may have brought children to the marriage which one or more may have used the Stephenson surname.
I have not identified Irma Stephenson, but I do have her married to Thomas Jefferson Hartsfield, Jr.
Thomas Jefferson Hartsfield, Sr and wife Celia Honeycutt were parents of TJ, Jr. as well as Ivy Lillie Hartsfield.
Ivy Lillie married William Claud Taylor on Oct. 14, 1908 in De Ann.William was the son of Ambrose D. Taylor and Emma Jane Wilson.Ambrose was (perhaps) the son of John Taylor and Matilda Peters and, John was a brother to Sarah Hannah Taylor Coffee mentioned in previous post.
The Taylor family, and especially the family and descendants of John and Matilda has not been fully identified to my satisfaction.
