Your location caught my attention.I was born and raised in Delaware.I am now living back here after a 25 year haitus to Talbot County Maryland. My grandfather/mother were Cohee's.I only know his growing up time as being in the Petersburg area of Delaware, not far from Sandtown, or Greensboro. His father lived in Willow Grove, DE which is not far from Greensboro either, on that Greensboro to Dover road.

There is an old church with the name PRIMITIVE BAPTIST CHURCH, not being used, just a few miles past Sandtown as you go towards Dover on the left. You will find Cohee's there, my family, and one Harry Cohee that died in 1961.I remember him, although I was only 10 or so when he died.I believe also there may be Cohee's in the newer graveyard just before that church on the right. It might be called LITTLE MT OLIVE CEMETERY or something on that order.

I was under the impression that Cohee was an Irish name.Still strongly think that. There were a lot of Irish that settled in the Delaware, Eastern Shore area during the time of the great Irish potatoe famine of the mid-1800's, when so many moved to the United States.

Hope that gives something to think about.
