Another person apparently reasearching a Coile family line posted the following almost 4 years ago:
"Deep Roots" by Sally Lathran Hines. Peter married Mary Burn (Byrnes), an Irish girl, native of Wexford, Ireland. They settled in Fayette Co. Pennsylvania. They had two girls and twin boys there. It is not known what the girls were named but the twins were George and Nicholas born April 20, 1792. Because of the then current laws of England Peter had no reason to return there. He was the younger son and would not be allowed to inherit any of his families land there. So Peter headed for government land in the newly formed Sate of Kentucky. Nicholas Coyle married Mary Ann Rogers and to them the following children were born: Martha, James, William, Joseph H., Peter, Margaret, Nancy, Mary and Elizabeth.
In the spring of 1826 Nicholas moved his family to a farm on the waters of White Oak, which was deeded to him by his father Peter. Nicholas live out the rest of his days upon that farm. Dying in 1833.
The Book "Deep Roots" Gives much more info about the George Coyle line than the Nicholas Coyle Line as the writer was a descendant from the George line. ********** Does anyone know if the James menttioned above, born to Nicholas Coile and Mary Ann Rogers is James Coile who married Sally UNKNOWN who is the possible father of James S. Coile who married Elizabeth Leonard. I was told they lived in Kentucky before moving to Tennessee.
