Thanks, Lisa, for your response, I have discovered since my posting that Warren Coleman married but had no children - or at least none surviving infancy. He had a brother Thomas Clay Coleman, also a son of Barringer, who had the same middle name as Warren. It was Barringer's middle name. Census records indicate he moved to Georgia. A direct decendant of Barringer has looked for Thomas's decendants but hasn't found anything that I know of beyond one son who seems to have died in his 40s. So it seems that Warren had no decendants around Concord.
Do you know if the Cabarrus County Colemans were from the large slave holding family by that name in Virginia? It's evidently one of the reasons a large number of African Americans carry that surname.
