Jer. Collet served on the jury under Governor William Penn for the Quaker witch trial, 12/27/1683, held in Philadelphia. Many of the jurors may have came on the Ship Wellcome.
The jury found the Prisoner guilty of the reputation of being a witch but not guilty of the specific charges (because they were based on hearsay).
The transcript of the trial with fifty other names can be found at GenForum on Pennsylvania forum or at the Matson Family Forum along with the history of the ship Wellcome, the Swedes (mostly Finns) at Matson's Ford, now believed to be the Philadelphia Airport.
