Hi Graham ; Not sure how I am related to these latest findings! These COLLYERS were very wealthy.....
I'm researching the COLLYER family & have recently aquired a copy of a very old Will of Joseph COLLYER born circa 1660. The COLLYER's I've been researching are from the Ivinghoe area & I have only gone back to 1792, (Baptist Minister - Pastor William COLLYER of the Ivinghoe Baptist Chapel) but this COLLYER Will was given to me from a descendant of the Ivinghoe COLLYER's in the hope that someday I can make a connection.
From the Will the following COLLYER family members are revealed. Please drop me a line if you see any connections!
Joseph COLLYER was privately interred in a Vault in the Parish of Lee, Kent - with both wives i) Sarah & ii) Rebacah (Rebecah)
Children & Grandchildren mentioned in the Will are as follows ;
1) Susanna SHRIMPTON m. ? SHRIMPTON Children :i) Rebecah SHRIMPTON ii) Sarah SHRIMPTON
2) Benjamin COLLYER m. ? d. 1804 Children :i) Joseph d. bef. 1804 ii) Robertson d. bef. 1804 & 3 unnamed daughters
3) Samuel COLLYER d. bef. 1736 m. Elizabeth ? i) Joseph ii) Samuel iii) Sarah
