Thank you for the info from the records you found. I think the 3rd record is also Anson, Sr.,as everything dovetails, but the transfer in date. Looking at dates I think each is just a piece of an ongoing report. I believe the 3rd report transfer date of 15 Jun. 1863, was probably the point at which he became either wounded or sick, and was taken out of active service. Note that the next valid date I had was that of 1 Aug. 1863, (2nd report date) when he was transfered over to the Invalid Corp., for probable Discharge, although I don't have that Discharge date, or any details. That would make everything fit.
Interesting that the comparison of records 1 & 2 show that the truth of residence & age came out in the end. I'm suprised they actually accepted someone at age 60, but perhaps that was not uncommon? Where did you come across the payment of a York Bounty?
