I believe you have your facts wrong re: Temperance Calvert/Colvard and John Butterworth.
First, Temperance was married to Thomas Robins of York Co., VA before she married William Calvert. Thomas Robins owned land on Chincoteague Island in Accomack County, VA before he moved to York County.
Temperance Robins Calvert's maiden name is unknown. However,
it was not Butterworth.
John Butterworth was a sailor who moved to Accomack Co., VA
in 1725. While in Accomack Co., he either sued or was sued
by a number of citizens of the county. He moved to York Co.
around 1728. Some of the lawsuits involved fathering illegitimate children.
One of the families who befriended Butterworth in Accomack
Co. was the Gibbons family. They posted a surety bond for
Butterworth so he could open up a tavern in York Co.
While in York Co. Butterworth and the Gibbons family
helped William Calvert and his second wife Temperance get a surety to open a tavern. Thomas Robins' first wife died a few years before he married Temperance.
Finally, do you have any primary source material proving Rachael Berry was a Cherokee?I thought not.
