John Combs Father of George Henry Combs of Bakers County Florida

I am looking for the parent of John Combs. He was married to Martha Patsy Hammock on December 31, 1811. My grandfather Robert H. Combs has asked me to find his family. His father was Rowe David Combs s/o of James Combs. My grandfather has told me several times that his family line was Kings before being adopted into the Combs. Does anyone have any information for me. My grandfather will be turning 94 this year and I would really like to get this done for him.
