I have a couple of pictures of Abraham and Mary, and many of their children and some of the grandchildren. My great-great-grandmother, their daughter-in-law, was quite a photographer.
The information about their marriage comes from the Brock Dist. marriage registers, and shows that they were married in the Wesleyan Methodist Church, Rev. Kennedy Creighton.A kind soul has transcribed the registers here:
Here it shows a marriage for Abraham Calhoun of Blenheim to Mary Comfort of Norwich. The same site also has a marriage for Sylvester Colborn to Rhoda Leeder, 26 Mar 1844, at the Methodist Episcopal Church, at which Abraham Colborn was a witness. You can find the same information at http://www.ocl.net/genealogy/EarlyHistory/http://www.ocl.net/genealogy/EarlyHistory/ --but here it correctly shows the name of Abraham Colborn.I have not laid eyes on an actual marriage record, but am sufficiently convinced that this information is correct.I have also recently laid hands on a copy of Amos Colborn's will.I have a lot of information on the descendants of Abraham and Mary, but not much on their forbears.Feel free to contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org, and I'll be happy to share what I have.
