Cowboy John:The Gregory S. Conard you met
from WI was likely from that large group of
Walloon Catholic Conards (and COUNARD) who
came from Belgium in the 1870s. They are in
the Green Bay area and call themselves mostly
CON'erd, but I have met some who say ka-NARD,
and the Counards say "coo-nard"Rarely do we
find Catholic Conards anywhere else.I have
somewhat a record on them, many religious given names, and some of the older folks had
over a hundred grand kids.
There has been quite a movement, by the way, to collect exaggeration postcards, and our
great uncle Frank leads the pack as the most
collectibe.Guess he made about a hundred of
them different, sold millions in the 1930s.
Good to hear from you.Are still up North? E
