Henry NIX, born abt. 1818 in Hessie, Germany married Mary Ann McDERMOTT 11/15/1850 in Coahoma County, Ms.
JOHN HENRY NIX, born abt.1850 or 1852 Ms. Married Sarah "Sallie" MYERS 12/10/1874. Three daughters born to this couple: Missouri Elvira "Ella" NIX, born 9/5/1875 Ms, Dora NIX, born 6/12/1877 Ms, and Emma Ophelia NIX, born 1/28/1882 Ms. "Ella" NIX married an UNKNOWN HAMMOND from Ky. She had two sons: George HAMMOND, born abt.1899 and Lewis HAMMOND, born abt. 1897. These two boys were living with their grandmother, Sallie NIX in 1910 Coahoma County Census.
WILLIAM C. NIX, born abt. 1854 Ms. Was living with stepfather, JOHN H. BISHOP, and mother, Mary Ann (Mcdermott) NIX, BISHOP per 1880 Coahoma County Census. Believe William drowned in Flood of 1887. Mary Ann NIX married John H. BISHOP in 1872 in Coahoma County, Ms.
JAMES A. NIX, born abt. 1855 Ms. Married Mattie S. WILLIAMS 4/6/1888 in Rankin County, Ms. Six children born to this couple: JAMES H. NIX, born 1889 Ms, CHARLES CLYDE NIX, born 1894 Ms, JOHN DANIEL NIX, born 1899 Ms, MARY E. NIX, born 1896 Ms, EUGENE NIX, born 1904 Ms, and CLARA S. NIX, born 1908 Ms. This family lived in or around Madison County, Ms. CHARLES CLYDE NIX married ALICE M. CONGER 9/5/1929 in Ruleville, Ms. One child that I know of: MARTHA LUCIA NIX.
