Hi, Sorry Bill but the parents I have for Robert Conger are John A. Conger and Rebeca Meek. I have a marriage record for Mecklenburg,NC for them and that is where the majority of my family came from. Robert named his first son John A Conger. There are also some land documents with John A. Conger witnessing for an Eli Conger(whom I believe to be John A.'s father) in Georgia in the early 1800's. Also a Robert Meek(who was listed as Rebeca's father, and whom I believe Robert was named after) witnessed for an Eli Conger on a land transaction in Georgia. Also Roberts middle name was Eli. John A. Conger was listed in the 1830 Georgia Census. Then he is no where to be found. In an old letter from one of his grandaughters she sayshis mother is left widowed when Robert was a young boy. I have more circumstantial evidence I can share as this is just pulled off the top of my head. Hope it clears things up. Cathy
