I'm trying to connect my paternal grandmother's paternal line through her grandfather, F. Marion Corey. His father was Sylvester Corey, born approximately 1816.
Through census I've placed him in the expected area of Lesterville, Reynold County, Missouri in 1850.Family legend says that Sylvester came over from Ireland when he was 17.By the 1850 Census he lists three (3) sons, born in different states and places his own birth (or rebirth? / immigration?) in NY.I've not found any records of a spouse, nor do I know when he died.
