Thank you so much for this information. I think it may help in my research for " Aunt Fanny". My grgrandparents were John R.Pace b. 1809 and ElizabeH?? It has been suggested that Elizabeth may have been a dau.of a Nancy Haden Lane. The Lanes were neighbors of my grgrandparents. Fanny Cosby was living with my grandparents, John Walker Pace and Rebecca Ann Robinson in 1900. My mother was Vera Walker Pace b. 1893 and talked about "Aunt Fanny" She was supposed to be a school teacher and taught my mother, who never went to school. Rebecca Ann Robinson was the dau.of Mary Ann Herndon and David C. Robinson. I suspect he had a Cosby connection.
When Mary Herndon Robinson made application for a pension from her husbands service in the war of 1812 it was witnessed by Edward or Edwin N. Cosby and JOhn Haden. Can you tell my if the book you referred to is still available.?
