Arthémise Côté- looking for marriage record to Octave Nadeau abt 1882
My great-grandparents, Octave Nadeau and Arthémise Côté, would have been married in Canada(perhaps Rivière-du-Loup area), or in the US (Brooklyn Maine, perhaps), about 1882, but likely before 1884.I am hoping that a marriage record will confirm Octave's lineage for me.He died in April 1900 in a train collision, and was possibly the son of François-Xavier Nadeau and Marie Turgeon.
Octave's wife, Arthémise Côté, was the daughter of Paul Côté and Marie Desneiges Paré, who settled in Verner Ontario in the early 1880's. I have a fair bit of info on her, but missing that elusive marriage record.
If you have any information about Octave and Arthémise's marriage records, or have some questions to help you narrow the search, please do not hesitate to reach me.And of course, photos are always such a lovely surprise!
Many thanks,
Joanne
