Thank you for your in quirey....that is all I have on the gentleman his name and birth date & death. from a newspaper obit and the book COMING HOME for HOLT County Missouri, COTTIER, Thomas -- died Dec 26, 1899 at the home of his son-in-law, J.W. Kreider, aged 70 years, 10 months, 16 days. Mr. Cottier was a Manxman, coming to the US from the Isle of Man in Feb of 1847. He was followed by his mother in 1849. He married Miss Minerva Beeler on Feb 5, 1850, who came to Missouri with her parents in 1844.She died 2 years ago. He was the father of 8 children & 7 survive-- Mary Susan, wife of John Alpheus Hall, of Minnesota Valley; Hannah J., wife of J.G. Elliott, of Mound City, Missouri; John T.; James C.; Lizzie, wife of James Ward, of Minn. Valley; Emma, wife of J.W. Kreider & Robert. Thomas's brother 2 years younger than he, now lives at Ravanna. He was President of Forest City Bank and President of Forest City Milling & Elevator Company. Funeral at the Christian Church and burial at Oregon, Missouri.
