Can you trace your Couillard ancestry to France?

The Couillard branch of my family was living next to Blois, France, from the 13th C. until the early20th C. (my grand mother).
Their village was namedSaint-Victor-Les-Blois. In the 18th C. itmerged with another village, La Chaussee, tobecome La-Chaussee-Saint-Victor.
Blois is a city along the Loire river, in thebeautiful Loire Valley; it is the capital of the Loir-et-Cher department(Department 41) and is significant in Renaissance history and architecture.
This name Couillard is not very common in France , but seems tobe extremely common in French Canada. I wonder if the Canadian Couillards come from the Loire Valley.
