I am trying to gather info on David Coursey who was among the first settlers of Kent/Sussex County Del. appearing in records there in 1670's. I've gone over the interesting contributions on the Henry/William Coursey family and would guess he is tied to this family someway. Robert Trail (Trayle,Trale) died in Sussex in 1685 and left part of his estate to David Coursey. He also left part to William Hambleton who I gather was also of Talbot County. Trail also left part to John Manlove whose family had originally come over from the Limerick area in Ireland. Others mentioned were Culligan,Southern and the most went to Alexander Molestine who was the original settler there, a Dutchman based at a trading post at Whorekill before the Duke of York took over the area. I suspect Robert was the son of James Trail and Mary Hamilton of County Down,Ireland but have not confirmed this. Any comments or clues appreciated.
