While searching another branch of my family, I recently came across a George Crail. It was in the 1850 census in Van Buren Co., Iowa. They were listed on page 56 in Des Moines Twp., P.O. - Upton.I had just discovered that I had Crails in my family so I copied it, not knowing if they were related.
My great-grandmother was Rebecca Crail who married John W. Martin on 17 June 1840 in Kenton, Ky.Her father was Daniel Crail who married Polly Ann Stephens in Pendlton, KY.His father was John Crail who marriedRachel Stephens on 25 Oct 1799 in Pendleton, KY.His father was Thomas Crail born 1743 in Fredrick, MD and married Elizabeth Berry.
