Sorry for the delay in getting back to you and I am sorry that my email did not work.We just moved and I am trying to settle on a service provider. If you would like to email me, the new address is [email protected], in response to your Townsend question.I have found a record on a Townsend Cresse.I think he may have received that first name from his Mother's side of the family, which was common back then.I have him listed in Tippecanoe County Indiana around 1838.I show that he took on an apprentice by the name of John Jenkins.I also show Townsend Cresse's brother listed same time that took in what seems to be John Jenkins brother as an apprentice.Again, Townsend Cresse was listed on the Tippecanoe County Jurors records for April 1863.Also in the Tippacanoe County I have the names of Daniel T. Cresse, Wilson Cresse and Margaret Cresse.I do not know if the T in the first one listed is Townsend or not.Again, I have so much information on the Cresse name and I am trying to fit all of the pieces together.I have traced my exact lineage back to one person, Lot Buck Cresse from Cape May County New Jersey, but I am stuck there. I would be willing to share any and all of my information with anyone.I have several names and places to share. The last name of Town I have quite a bit of.Again, please email me at [email protected] for information.
