Dear Mr. Crilly,
Sorry, I was unable to read your personal email address.
Thank you so much for responding to my query!I am researching the life
and work of the American sculptor Sally James Farnham (1869-1943,
http://www.sallyjamesfarnham.orghttp://www.sallyjamesfarnham.org) and have come across a number of letters
written to Farnham from a F. Leo Crilly. The first letter dated December
20, 1933 states that when Mr. Crilly returned to London he found that
business affairs were not in order and requested she give him a little bit
time before making the first payment in connection with a "statue".Two
other letters, March 23, 1934 and August 10, 1934, state similar
intentions due to problematic business issues.I am curious if anyone in
the family might have information about what "statue" or sculpture he
might have purchased from Sally Farnham.Any information would be
appreciated!I would also be more than happy to copy the Crilly letters
for your reference.
Many thanks.I look forward to hearing from you.My email address is [email protected].
Kind regards,
Michael Reed
