The earliest concrete information that I have on the Critchlow family in Breckinridge Ky. is of my great great grandfather John C. 12-3-1808 to 3-27-1883.He was maried to Parthenia Pool. They are buried in a small family plot, along with seven other family members, on the original family farm near the community of Roff Ky. I have a copy of the original order for their headstone.I have nothing concrete prior to this, however I have been told that his father was James Critchlow who died in about 1825 in Perry county Indiana, and that he had a common law wife named Nancy Jolly, daughter of Nelson Jolly.John and Parthenia had a son Stephen, who was my great grand-
father. He married a Sarah Downs. They produced William my grandfather who married Elizabeth Quiggins. For many years, they operated a grain mill, lumber mill, and blacksmith-fabricating business in McDaniels Ky. After the great economidc crash in 1929 most of their children, my father included, migrated to the state of Illinois
