Hi Debra,
I'm tempted to say you and I are distant cousins through the lineage of Samuel Crockett and Esther Thompson but my memory isn't good enough to make that leap as yet. There's no doubt the Southwest Virginia Crockett family, Montgomery family, Craig family, Lorton Family, Bowyer family and Howard family are all connected by marriage through a dizzying web of kinship. What I need to do is to take an entire day and chart those relationships to see if you and I descend from the same roots.
I have no idea who Annanias Crockett or his son, Lewis married. As far as we know he and his son were the only two people from my mother's lineage who left the Chesapeake Bay area until modern times.Keep in mind that this branch that I'm discussing in this paragraph have no known connection to the Southwest VA, NC, TN and Texas Crocketts.
Yes, I'd love to have a copy of the draft registration card for Annanias. Is it possible to scan it and attach it to an email? If you need to mail it to me I'll email you my home mailing address if you email me yours at: [email protected] .I hesitate to put it here on this public forum. Thanks so very much.
I ran your Crockett names that you mentioned through my records in a quick scan and didn't see any references to those names.I'll take more time and do a through search this coming week. Thanks for all your help. Dorsey
