Hi Susan, Do you have a marriage record for Leonard and Rosanna? Do you think that Rebecca might have had a brother named Leonard?I have a Leonard Crosser on an 1820 census in Bedford county, Tennessee. He and his wife are in the 16 to 25 age bracket.Their births would have been around 1800, give or take some.If your Rebecca was born 1792, they might be brother and sister. They live next door to Zacheriah Gorden .He has 4 boys under 10, 2 boys under 15,1 girl 10 to 15.He and his wife are in the 26 to 44 category. They were all in agriculture. In 1850 I have another Leonard Crosser, 28 years of age in Weakley County, Tenn. married to Margaret with a little boy named John, 3 years old and M. Gorden, age 15 and Nancy, age 10. (both girls) I think that this Zachariah Gorden family might be related to these girls. This last Leonard 's father is Henry W. Crosser. So I was thinking that Henry and Leonard of the 1820 census might be brothers also.I think you need a chalk board to diagram and follow this message!I have been trying to put it together all day today. If it doesn't make any sense, I totally understand.Any input welcome!
