I'm not related.
You didn't mention anything about Valois' mother. She is the key. I suggest getting Valois' death certificate and obituary to confirm his mother's name.
At beta.familysearch.org under Michigan marriages is the Dec 31, 1924 marriage record from Berrien County of Valois Crossley and Lotta Martin. His parents were Charles C. Crossley and Jane Calloway. Hers were John Martin and Carrie Franz.
You can also find the July 23, 1888 marriage from Ithaca, Gratiot County of Charles G. Crossley and Lodusky Jane Galloway. His parents are listed as C. R. Crossley and Rebecca Leidley. Hers were David Galloway and Sarah A. Patterson. He was born in ca1853 in Ohio.
Apparently Lodusky Galaway was married before to Solomon Brodbeck on Nov 3, 1880 in Fulton Twp.
The 1900 census of Fulton Twp., Gratiot County shows this family:
Lodweskie Crosley, born Feb 1865, married 19 years
Lanford, born Dec 1886
Nina V., born July 1889
Lula M., born Feb 1893
Beloice, born July 1894
The 1910 census of the same location:
David J. Ceaser 48 married 3 years, 2nd marriage
Ladusca J. 45, 2nd marriage
Loyce (hard to read first letter) Crossley 16 (stepson)
I could not find the right Charles Crossley in the 1900 census.
Under Michigan deaths is the record of Chas. Crosley who died June 2, 1908 in Gratiot County. He was born in ca1853 in Ohio. His father is listed as Chas. In the database of Michigan death certificates is the same Chas. Crssley (that's how it is indexed) who was born June 29, 1852 in Ohio and died in a railroad accident. His father is listed as Chas. I suggest getting his obituary and most likely the accident was reported in a local newspaper as well. Hopefully it will mention his surviving children.
In the same database is the 1912 death certificate of Lodesky Ceaser she was born Feb 9, 1865 in Canada. Her parents were David Galloway and Alice Patterson: http://seekingmichigan.cdmhost.com/seeking_michigan/seek_advanced.phphttp://seekingmichigan.cdmhost.com/seeking_michigan/seek_advanced.php
Here is someone working on the same Galloway Family: http://wc.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=:2288748&id=I504952322http://wc.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=:2288748&id=I504952322
The 1860 census of Clinton Twp., Seneca County, OH has a Charles Crossly 7 with Charles 37 and Rebecca 37. Interestingly the brother of this Charles also lived in Fulton Twp. at one time. Here are several people who are working on this same family: http://wc.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=Search&includedb=&lang=en&ti=&surname=crossley&stype=Exact&given=charles&bplace=&byear=&brange=2&dplace=&dyear=&drange=0&mplace=&myear=&mrange=0&father=&mother=&spouse=rebecca&skipdb=&period=All&submit.x=Searchhttp://wc.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=Search&includedb=&lang=en&ti=&surname=crossley&stype=Exact&given=charles&bplace=&byear=&brange=2&dplace=&dyear=&drange=0&mplace=&myear=&mrange=0&father=&mother=&spouse=rebecca&skipdb=&period=All&submit.x=Search
I suggest verifying anything they posted. For instance the elder Charles did not die in 1870 or 1880. He is in the 1900 census with his son Dallas in Henry County, OH. He apparently died Oct 30, 1900 at age 85 and widowed (under Ohio deaths and burials).
