I'm looking for information about a Mr. Crossley (or Crosley), who was a famous riverboat gambler and may have been from east Texas originally. I also have heard that he was hung for being a horse thief. According to his gransdon, he dressed like a riverboat gambler: Panama hat, shoulder length dark hair and dark eyes.Carried a walking stick or cane, always smartly dresseed. If anyone has a photo of this man, and info on him, please email it to me. Thanks.I do now know any dates. Whenever riverboat travel was in its prime. Maybe late 1870's, after the Civil War was over.
