Greetings! I would like to share that I think that the presumption that Aaron Crowson m Rhoda Mahone/Maroney is incorrect. The record of Aaron and Rhoda's marriage license states that Aaron Crowson m Rhoda LOVELADY on 10/6/1819 Shelby Co AL. Note that Rhoda's last name is recorded as Lovelady. She has never been married as we know that her father is Obediah Lovelady.
Also I would like to state that I do not think that Rhoda Crowson nee Lovelady m Turner Cobb. Number One in 1840 the two are listed separately in Noxubee Co MS. Rhoda is listed as "M[rs] Crowson" and is living next door to her father. Turner is listed with his wife F 30-40 and several children. If Rhoda marries Turner it would have to be about 1843 as Henry is born 1844. There is an intermediate census in 1845 MS that lists Rhoda Crowson as a head of household. Also it is very important to note that in 1850 Rhoda is listed as Rhody CROWSON and not Rhoda Cobb.
Meaning that a new approach to who the mother of Henry and Fredonia Cobb are needs to be examined. I would presume since the two are living with Rhoda that she has custody of them and that she is in someway related to them. The most obvious relationship [other than mother] is that she is their AUNT.
Has anyone considered this possibility?
Well I would appreciate any and all complaints or outcries!!! Please I feel it is necessary to remedy the problems here. Perhaps there is some other logical solution to the problems I see that I do not know yet. Enlighten me, please!
