In Priscilla Montgomery's book, it reads: "...In the 1870 Census, he was living in the Jefferson Subdivision.In 1880, the census listed him in Randolph's District and Ann, Ella, Victoria, and James were still at home.The 1910 census shows Berry living with his son, James D. Cruce, in Gwinnett Co., GA....the old site of the Cruce house...was a 9-room house that had belonged to Dr. R. N. Mitchell.A small burying ground with a fence around it was in the back and all the stones appeared to be Mitchell family stones...
