Catherine was born c. 1820 and married David Gilbert 6 Mar 1838.She was the daughter of Daniel Crumbaker (b. c. 1791 Frederick Co., MD or possibly Adams Co., PA [his father didn't move to Adams Co. until 1798, though might have sojourned there earlier]; d. aft. 1826) and Esther Oberholtzer (b. 30 Sep 1792 Northampton Co., PA; d. 23 Oct 1875 Mahoning Co., OH).Daniel & Esther were married 21 Nov 1811 Columbiana Co., OH.Catherine's siblings were: David M. (1813-aft. 1870); John C. (26 Nov 1814-22 Feb 1893); Elizabeth (b. 1817); Susanah (1 Mar 1818-14 Jan 1885); Anna (1822-10 Apr 1882); Hannah (1 Nov 1824-7 Apr 1882); Jonathan (b. 1825).
