Hi Bonnie Yes, we are related if you are a Belledune Culligan! Are you a daughter of Chester and Bev? - hmmm, if you say you visited your great grandparents then that wouldn't fit! However - no, I wasn't at the Culligan reunion (it was in 1995) - I live in Bristol, England and we had visited in 1994 so couldn't afford another trip so soon! I was sent a family history though.I grew up in Jacquet River (well, Armstrong's Brook really) so know all the Culligan's around there - my mother was Eileen Culligan, daughter of Stanley Culligan, etc. etc.I posted this message re John and Mary on the Genforum in the hope of tracing descendants of their brothers and sisters. To date all I know is that only John Culligan came to Canada - I have posted messages on the Longford site as well but, to date, nothing.
Where do you live? If you live in the US maybe you could try and find out about some Culligans who came there in the 1830s and 1850s - I have a list of them somewhere - is genealogy easy to do in your area?
Thank you for replying to my message - I would like to hear from you again and to see if you can find out any more on John's siblings.I see that Gregory has posted a few messages on them as well.Do you know Gregory?
