SHREVEPORT, LA - Funeral services celebrating the life of Lottie E. Culpepper, 100, will be held 11:30 a.m. Friday, September 18, 2009 at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Kendall Holley, pastor of Broadacres Baptist Church. Interment will be in Jackson Cemetery in Joaquin, TX with graveside service at 1:30 p.m. Visitation with the family will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday September 17, 2009 at the funeral home.
Lottie was born in DeBerry, TX on January 22, 1909 to Joe and Anastasia Hanson Dresse. She passed away on September 16, 2009 in Shreveport. She was a homemaker and member of First Methodist Church in Joaquin, TX where she had taught Sunday school.
Her parents, and her husband, Palton "Pepper" Culpepper, preceded her in death. She is survived by son: David Culpepper and wife, Carla of Longview, TX; daughter: JoAnne Culpepper of Shreveport, LA; grandchildren: Jackson Culpepper of Homer, LA, Justin Wood and wife, Mallory, and Colton Wood, all of Longview TX; great-grandchild: Branton Wood of Longview, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
