Laura...you may have stumbled onto something with your 4th entry ( (4.) The Cash Family Website has a quotation from "The Cash Family - From Virginia To Arkansas and Oklahoma" by Jean Noel Cash, Sr. at http://www.cashfamily.com/Trees/html/notes.htmlhttp://www.cashfamily.com/Trees/html/notes.html. It says that Joseph CASH married (1st) Susannah MASON, whose parents gave him land in Prince William County, Virginia, that became part of Fairfax County in 1742. By 1752, he owned almost 1000 acres in that area. "Susannah MASON CASH died ca 1749 and he was married ca 1750 to Elizabeth, believed to be a member of the CULVERHOUSE family. [...] In 1774 he and most of his family, together with the Hall and CULVERHOUSE families, moved to Dutch District (later Dutchville), Granville County, North Carolina....")
Vienna Elizabeth Tolle, youngest daughter of Cloe Culverhouse and George Tolle, Jr., md. William S. Hall, 21 Sep 1843 in Marion Co MO. In the 1860 census of Union Township, Marion Co MO, Vienna is listed as Varner E. Hall, age 34.Living in her household were Mary J., age 14, George T., age 11, and her mother, Chloe Tolle, age 81.It stated Chloe was born in South Carolina and the others were born in MO.
If William Hall belonged to the Hall family above, my Culverhouse family may well have moved to NC and then later to MO.George Tolle, Jr. died in Marion CO MO in 1839.
