My ggggg grandmother was Ann Cash Hall, more important, my gggg grandmother, daughter of Ann Cash Hall, was Susannah Hall Garner, married in Granville County in 1792.I had always believed Susannah to be the daughter of John Hall, but now I am not as sure of that fact.Susannah was born between 1770 and 1775, since I don't have a date of death for John Hall, and since Culverhouse's illigitimate children by Culverhouse carried the sur name of Hall, It leaves me to ponder on her parentage.Susannah Hall Garner's last child was born in 1819.If born in 1770 she would have been 49 years old at the time of the birth; If born in 1775 she would have been 44, a little more likely. Her husband John Garner was born in 1774, and was 18 at the time of their marriage.Susannah was not mentioned in the Thomas W. Culverhouse's will. The other thing I find interesting if Ann Cash Hall, a widow, was in financial straights, why wouldn't her adult sons or her brother Joseph Jr., all of which lived in close proximity, have taken her in. Why would she have become a housekeeper for Thomas W. Culverhouse.questions, questions, questions!!!!
