I saw your information on the Cupples family tree and thought I could add to it. My grandmother was Eleanor Maude Cupples. She was born in Banbridge Ireland in 1898 and was the daughter of David Cupples (I believe your grandfather). He was indeed a tailor and had quite a large business in Ireland. There were a total of 12 children, 9 girls and 3 boys. David and his wife (sorry my dad can't remember her name) imigrated to the US in 1912 (sailed with the Canard line). They settled in Fresno, CA. David was killed in a car accident in 1923 and his wife died the same year from head injuries suffered while stepping into a bus. Of the three boys, David (Jr.?) moved to Liverpool around 1912. William (my dad's not sure of the name, may have been called "Willie") moved to Australia (New Zealand) (although he had a son that lived in Ontario Canada at the end of WWII because my dad and mom visited him there at the end of the war). The third brother (don't know his name)was a passenger on a ship that sank on its way to the US shortly after the family arrived.
My dad is trying to recall additional information and I will post it when available.
