Back about 1997 a few of us "Curnooties" put together the "CURNUTTE WEBPROJECT" website. Some of you were contributors to the website. For that, I, Terry Collins, your humble servant (up to a point) thank you.
Since that long ago day many (all) of us have went our separate ways, and webpages that were to have more data added to them were forgotten and have become "cobweb pages".
If you are as sad about this as I am ... well, you ain't all that sad.
Just about all the previous data and links are up and running. However, I feel like walking or sitting.Too bad for me, I reckon.
At the present time about 6(6) additional Civil War Pension Files, a new Cemeterry Listing, a few Photographs and a Partridge in a Pear Tree are being added.
Also, within the next few months more Civil War Pension Files will be gotten from the National Archives in DC.There are quite a few Curnutte Files there.
In an effort to really get things going, I would be most appreciative of any and all information and documents and so on that you might have and be willing to have added to the website.
With so many Curnooties out there (and I know some of you), I can't help but think there is a vast amount of data to be had from Bibles, Photographs, Wills, Deeds (and Misdeeds), Letters, Family Stories and more. And if you don't have any stories ... well, heck ... just make some up.
It would be fantastic not only to have these items contributed for us to put on the website, but also great that many of us would be together working to accomplish such a noble goal.I think "Curnutte" (and all spellings) is Norwegian for "help with the website".At least, I think someone once told me that.I guess it's true. That possibly being the case, I hope we live up to that name.
I appreciate your time in reading this letter.I hope all who can help will help.I also hope to hear from some Family members that I haven't heard from in years ... and of course, have the pleasure to hear from "new" Family members.
Well, please give what I've said some thought ... and then no matter what you think ... just help anyway.
I'll be waiting to hear from YOU!Yes, you right there! No use hiding. So, what do you say? ... let's do this! Thanks, Cousins.(sigh)
