Upn seeing your post, I have been recently studying Cuthberts of Perth and Dundee.I have a theory that John CUTHBERT and Jean SHARP did have 9 children and that Jean may have died between 1822 and 1826 at which time John remarried to Ann TAYLOR in Tibbermore, Perth. They had three more children: Elisabeth ch 10 Sep 1827 Perth, Helen ch 17 Dec 1829, Dundee and Isabell b. 1832 Dundee. I have 1841 census entry for John CUTHBERT and Ann showing the family as George and the three girls, George being the youngest of John/Jean's nine.John CUTHBERT was listed as a coachbuilder and George was listed as an apprentice. The oldest son of the first marriage was Thomas and he too may have been a coachbuilder and the driving force behind Cuthbert Coachbuilders. You can find photos of their building in Dundee by going to http://www.dundeecity.gov.uk/photodb/wc0356.htmhttp://www.dundeecity.gov.uk/photodb/wc0356.htm.
How are you related to this line?
Dave
