Have just received obituary notice of my great grandfather, Walter Dansberry, with information on siblings that I would like to know more about. The obit listed one son, Milton Dansberry, three daughters, Mrs Ralph Parce (Florence), Mrs Norman Olsen (Vera), Mrs Claire Valentine (Ida) all of La Crosse, Wisconsin. An additional son, Earl, predeceaased him.Four sisters were named, Mrs Sarah Luther, Mrs Ella Frohoek, both of La Crosse, Mrs Peter Stuhr of Lake City, Minn. and Mrs. Minnie Virnig of Madison, Wisc. (Don't know the given name of Mrs Peter Stuhr) and would lile to find out who she might have been. Three brothers were listed, William and Ora of La Crosse, and Ray of Milwaukee. The funeral was held at Hellwig-Morris Funeral Chapel and interment was at Oak Grove Cemetery.I have been told by my father that Walter was one of 13 children born to this family, and it is believed his parents were George Dansberry and Mary Case, and census records show that they were born in Bethel, Clermont Co. Ohio. From family information, the Dansberry name at times was spelled Dansbury, and Danbury, but our line has it as Dansberry.
If anyone has anything that connects with this family in anyway, in Wisconsin, or earlier in Ohio, I would enjoy hearing back from you.In addition, if anyone can connect with any of the other surnames (Luther, Frohoek, Stuhr or Virnig) that can add anything to this family I would appreciate hearing back.My line connects through Florence Dansberry, my grandmother, who married Ralph Parce. I have much Parce history and would like to be able to add to my Dansberry line if possible. Thanks for any assistance.Holly
