Some additional information on Nicholas Danberry and his daughter Catherine.
Nicholas Danberry/Danbury enlisted the 12 June 1778 in the first Troop, commanded by Captain John Heard, in the 4th Regiment of Light Dragoons on the continental establishment, commanded by Stephen Moylen, Esquire for a period of three years. This is from his pension papers held by the National Archives. Also included with these papers is a summary sheet filled out by the Bureau of Pensions in 19--. On this sheet it states that: "Sol. had children no names stated except dau. Catherine Remins or Kemins." Since the person who completed the summary sheet had trouble reading the name, it may be that he completly misread the name and it is actually "Hixson".The copies that I received from the Archives did not include any mention of Catherine other than in the summary. I would assume that there is additional material in his pension file and it should be examined.
