So much information in just one message! Well, thank you for all that, I see you made a lot of search to know all that (or maybe you know the good persons ;) )
"To see photo's of me and the family go to http://www.myspace.com/candylandstarrhttp://www.myspace.com/candylandstarr"
I'll go take a look at your photos just after my answer, promise!
My dad's a little older than you, he's 61, and I called him yesterday to ask if he knew anything. He couldn't tell me lots of things, but was quite sure he didn't know any Felice. The only thing he could say was that an uncle of him (or his mother's ? i'm not sure) did go to USA (Chicago) before he was born, and died there. Unfortunately, my dad couldn't remember his name. He just met his wife once, when he was older.
"Adeline told me the D'Andrea family she wrote to lived in a beautiful castle, maybe the Abruzzo?"
A beautiful castle??! Wow sounds incredible! I'm not sure we're talking about the same ones that live in Carapelle :-s
I've been there when I was younger, and I can assure you Carapelle is not a castle, just a small village pretty high in the mountains, where there's nothing but just one small café. After a few research on the net, there were, in 2007, 95 inhabitants, and I'm sure it's still too much according to my memories ! (I've never seen so many people there!!)
You can see photos of the Carapelle I know and my dad's family is from right here : http://www.inabruzzo.it/ada/provincia%20l'Aquila/A-C/Carapelle%20Calvisio/index.htmlhttp://www.inabruzzo.it/ada/provincia%20l'Aquila/A-C/Carapelle%20Calvisio/index.html
I'm sorry I couldn't tell you more, if I get any other information (maybe my dad's going to ask around him too, let's hope) I'll come here to tell you.
As far as I know, I can only go back to my grandparents :
- Ida PASTA, born in 1923 in Carapelle Calvisio, Abruzzi, died in 2005 in Revin, France
- Mario D'ANDREA : I don't know exactly when he was born (but it was in Carapelle), he deceased in 1979, just 3 years before my birthday. I never knew him.
For the moment, that's all I can tell.
