I have quite a bit of information on the Robings family who were stonemasons in Dorset England.If you google Belchalwell you can find links to records.The name Robings is spelt in different ways but all the same family, eg Robbins.William Dandridge born 1863 in Illinois and married Susan Shaw born about 1870.They had children: Charles Dandridge b 1893, Gladys b 1895, Victor Maceo b 26 Dec 1896 and Viola May b 26 Dec 1896, Sidney b 1998 and Ernest Francis b 7 Sep 1900.
William was the son of John B Dandridge b 1837 in Alabama and Love Hatcher Robings b 1840 in Belchalwell Dorset England.They married in Macoupin Illinois 26 Sep 1862.
Love Hatcher Robings was the daughter of Andrew Robings b 1809 in Belchalwell, Dorset, England, died in Illinois 1875 and Hannah Candy b about 1814 in Shillingstone Dorset.They married on 25th October 1836 in Shillingstone.Their children were Ambrose b Jan 1838, Love Hatcher b 1840, Maria Louisa b 1842, Alfred James b 1845, John b Oct 1846 and Horace b 1850.Andrew was a stonemason.
Andrew was the son of Ambrose Robings b 1778 in Belchalwell died 23 Mar 1833 and Frances Moore born about 1783 in Child Okeford Dorset died 10 Sep 1875 in Fontwell, Dorset.Their children were: Luisa 1806, Andrew 1809, Fanny 1810, Eleanor 1820, James 1821, Samuel 1823, Edmund 1827, and Elizabeth 1829.
Ambrose was the son of Andrew Robings b about 1735 and Ann Stickland who were married 30 Apr 1759 in Okeford Fitzpaine Dorset.Their children were Hannah 1760, James 1762, Ann 1768, Samuel 1771, Andrew 1774 and Ambrose 1778
