Hello Adam-This also sounds quite fascinating.I have, at home, (am doing this at work!) some vague details about the Percy line.I found these quite recently whilst ferreting in Truro-they were penned on a very sketchy family tree of the Daniells from Edward's father, Ralph Allen Daniell and his 15 (or perhaps 18?) children.
I now have a tree which is growing from these children, but not necessarily with dates.
I also have a tree going back from Ralph Allen to his father, Thomas who married Elizabeth Elliot (ELIOT).Elizabeth's mother, Gertrude Elliot/Elliott/Elott, etc. had maiden name of ALLEN.It was her brother, RALPH ALLEN, who became the famous 18th century personage who developed the postal system and exploited Bath Stone-leading to the building of the now Heritage City of Bath.Their brother, Philip, became Lord of the Manor of Bathampton (where I live and where my very initial interest lies and all that relates to the Manor and village itself). It was through his line that the Manor passed from 1762 through to eventual selling-off during the 1920's.I have much of Philip's tree down to the 1990's and one particular branch living today-who I have now met and shared my knowledge. They are to visit Bath in the Spring and I am arranging for them to visit the various houses, portraits, connections during a long weekend.I believe they have connections in Australia/New Zealand as well-although somewhat removed from yours.
Perhaps I should send you a copy of this very large and involved tree sometime.
I will, however, e-mail you (tomorrow) hopefully with the Percy details in the hope that you will be able to track them down.(I did meet someone recently who comes from New Zealand and asked them if their relations could help out on this, but no developments so far).
