My very quick notes from:
LDS film #1906926 NC Hillsborough District Probate [=estate papers]Note the Apr 1783 date for a better fix on George's death. While I don't have a note that says Margaret is the widow, it all looks pretty standard to be such.I will actually be looking at this film again next week, will check it more carefully and post fuller info:
-George Daniel of Bladen, admx Margaret Daniel and admr Stephen Daniel. Papers start 1 Apr 1783.
-Papers regarding goods and chattels in Chatham co (11 Apr 1786).
-Notice to sheriff of Chatham 11 Apr 1786, regarding stuff James Stewart recovered against est of George Daniel
-1 Apr 1783 summons to sherriff of Bladen to bring Margaret Daniel and Stephen Daniel admrs to Hillsborough Superior Court to answer to suit of James Stewart.
Regarding the birthplace of George, I don't think his parents ever got beyond New Hanover/Brunswick area of NC, especially in the time frame of George's birth. George came of age in Brunswick as shown on the tax lists there. His interests in Chatham are possibly because of his brother William who moved there for a while.Below are SC Charleston Deeds locating George's parents in 1739, 1741 and 1746/7. (You can see all the Charleston deeds for Daniell on my site at http://www.pamiller.nethttp://www.pamiller.net ).
