Janice, that's wonderful. I have suspected that Hannah Martha Daniell, wife of N. C. Daniell, was a Sheppard but just couldn't prove it.What proof do you have?About all I know for certain is she was born in 1782 or 1783 in NC and that they had one child - George Franklin Daniell (my 4th gr-grandfather) who was born in 1802 in Georgia, indicating that Hannah and N. C. married possibly in 1801 in Georgia.I don't know anything about N. C.'s parents, etc.I know when, where, and why he died, but that's about it. Do you know anything about them before they moved to Texas?
I also suspected that they had a son named John Sheppard/Shepherd Daniell who was born in Georgia as well. A public tree reported his birthdate as 2 Jul 1804, but I have been unable to verify that. What proof do you have that he was her son?I have a lot of info on John except when and where he died (appears between 1860 & 1870 in Bradley County, Arkansas).I also knew that he was a witness to John Sheppard's will on 17 Jan 1842 in Monroe County, MS but have not seen the Will.Do you happen to have a copy or a complete transcription.I would love to see one if you do.
I would love to share what I know with you in detail. You can reach me directly at firstname.lastname@example.org.
