Hi Hellen, thanks for responding.I 've looked all dit names for this name.I've done a lot of research on the Denys family of the French River Valley area of France.I've looked down the line of both brothers Simon and Nicolas. Simon was the one who had a serviving male heir. His family branched off in many name directions. I've checked both the Saints and la pierre parts of his family. Still nothing.I've talked with Andera LaPierre a researcher of this family who lives in Canada.Andera doubted that I was of this family. She gave me her web address with her family research to look for myself.
Along with st amond, I've seen Joseph Denis la vallon both soilder's in th Royal Army abt. 1664 who came to New France.Unless I'm missing somthing I've yet to find a clue.
I've only been able to find one baptismal record of a child belonging to Julius Denis at St. Mary's in Oswego, New York.Present was a Francious Charpainter.I have Julius's death certificate, it gives birth year 1819 in Canada and Parents names. It's very hard to make out what her last name is.If you like I could send you a copy veia e-mail maybe you could take a guess at it for me.Census record says he came to America abt. 1836.I know that Julius's wife's family (Gravlin) was assciated with the Lavoy family
Thanks for your help,
Robin
