My husband and I have been using your information and have found supporting church records to confirm his DANZEISEN ancestry in Eichstetten and Nimburg. Thanks for the information.
Can you help us in finding some information on the DANZEISEN’s that came from Switzerland? Some people that we gathered information on that we would like to find out about is: - Joerg DANZEISEN was born 29 SEP 1676 in Wilchingen, Switzerland(this would be my husband’s 7th-great-grandfather). - Barbara DANZEISEN was born 09 JAN 1642 in Zürich, Zürich (CH) - No Name DANZEISEN was born ABT 1677/78, and died 06 APR 1678 in Wilchingen, Schaffhausen
We think that the following comment that we found on an on-line entry for Hans & Georg Danzeisen may pretain to my husband’s family line but we need some help. (Hans Danzeisen was the father to Joerg Danzeisen listed above; and Georg Danzeisen was the father to Hans Danzeisen. We think Hans was born about 1645 and died about 1704; while Georg was born about 1605 and died about 1658.)
“Name in Eichstetten 1478, 1567, 1596, 1615, 1618, 1624 und 1633 ist ein Hans Danzeisen Vogt in Eichstetten. Gerichtsverwandter. Pate bei Johann Georg Bu(with an umlaut)hler am 8.5.1653. Georg Danzeisen ha(umlaut)lt sich 1642 mit seiner Familie in Zu(umlaut)rich auf. (Genealogie 1961, Heft 2). Chronik I, 274.”
This seems to translate to, but I am not sure.
“Name in Eichstätten 1478, 1567, 1596, 1615, 1618, 1624 and 1633 is a Hans Danzeisen overseer/bailiff in Eichstetten. Juryman. Godfather of Johann Georg Buehler the 8.May 1653. Georg Danzeisen stays with his family at Zürich (Switzerland) in 1642.”
Do you happen to know anything about a Danzeisen family line in Zürich?
Any help you or anyone can provide, will be appreciated.Thanks.
