The 1850 Montgomery Co. AL census has this family- A. D.Dickeya57 year old male farmer born in GA AnnaDickeya 58 year old female, apparently his wife EddinaDarleya 25 year old female,b.GA ?their widowed dau? Martha S.Darley13 y/o female born AL Henry J.Darleyan 11 y/o male born AL
This COULD be the Martha Darley who married George H. Williams in 1859 Montgomery County. She would have been about 22 years old in 1859.
HELP!! These are the ONLY Darley's I find on 1850 Montgomery county, AL census.
I find a marriageon 21 AUG 1851 in Montgomery county, AL for Adeline Darley to Wittington Sweat. The 1860 Montgomery County, AL census shows W. Sweat57, SC Adeline 47, GA Mary 22, AL Robert 17, AL John 14, AL Rebecca 7, AL
I think this Adeline is Eddina from earlier census.Martha would have been married if she is same one. Not sure what happened to Henry J. Darley? On 1870 the Sweat family got counted twice first time they are Whittington Sweat 66, AL Adeline 57, GA John 25, AL Rebecca 15, AL Next door is TA-DAH!! William Williams age 8 with his mother Martha Williams age 30.Sooo, apparently George Williams died, probably in the Civil War. I'll have to check for that now. Next door to the Williams family are a Tucker family who look very much like they may be the parents of Lavonia Katherine Tucker who married William Wesley Williams--tis all looking like the puzzle is falling together now! YEAH!!
